Growing in Capel St. Mary
It is with much regret and after discussion amongst the Committee we have made the decision to cancel this years’ Show. We are in unprecedented times and it is the first time in our 43 years Show history that this has been done. We are unsure of many things in this pandemic including social distancing and the timescales of returning back to ‘normal’. A large number of our members / plotholders are over the age of 65 and would have concerns about coming to The Show and mixing with others. This in itself would affect our numbers and for those who have worked so hard with their exhibits and spent a lot of time and money, it would be sad for them not to be seen by a majority audience.
The Show schedule, that has been up on our website for some weeks now, will be carried forward to next year as far as the content is concerned. We will accept any Photography and Handicrafts that have/are already being taken or made, to be carried forward to next year even though the Show schedule states that these entries must be from the last eighteen months.
If anyone has any queries or questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
