Our annual Allotment Associations BBQ, traditionally held at the end of July, and also traditionally a wet evening with the occasional thunderstorm thrown in for good measure, provides one of the social highlights of the year for the association members and their guests.
The BBQ is held on the allotment site and since 2011 when a covered area was erected we have been able to accommodate 100 guests for a seated BBQ, out of the rain.
Any profits from the evening are donated to charity, over the years we have supported a number of local charities through the generosity of our association members, a full list of them can be found here
The 2019 BBQ was held on Saturday 27th July and featured another of Graham's stunning menus, a copy of which can be seen here, to either remind you what was available, or so that you can see what you missed! 2019 also marked the end of an era with both Graham and Dennis stepping down from organising the event. The committee will be considering what format a replacement event could have, and all suggestions will be welcomed, along with anyone who wishes to volunteer to organise such an event
