The Show

The 2019 Show will be held on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September in the village hall. Except for classes in the Capel Residents section, Show entries are open to all. Please continue to support us by entering your exhibits. This is our 42nd Show and there are a few changes from 2018 as we strive to provide and enjoyable and successful event. The details for all classes can be found in the show schedule.

Plan you entries in advance by reading the show schedule carefully and on show day allow plenty of time for staging your exhibits as good presentation impresses the judges. 

The Allotments Association expresses their appreciation for all the sponsorship, assistance and support which contributes to make this show one of the major village events.

This Flower and Produce Show is organised in accordance with, and governed by the rules contained in the Royal Horticultural Society's Horticultural Show Handbook 2016. A copy of which is held by the Show Secretary.

Capel St Mary Allotments Association will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits from whatever cause arising, but all reasonable care will be taken of them. All articles must be at the sole risk of their respective owners.

Groups A, E & J qualify for the major award of: THE RHS BANKSIAN MEDAL which, in compliance with the RHS rules goes to the winner of the largest total amount of money in prizes in the whole of these horticultural classes. The winners of this award in 2017 and 2018 are not eligible to win in 2019.

The nominated trophies will be awarded to the persons gaining the highest points in total in the following groups of classes. Prize money will be in cash or vouchers and will be given for all classes.

All trophies remain the property of Capel St Mary Allotments Association.
