Key facts

the Association holds five  annual events, a BBQ, AGM, two Work-Ins and Show (see separate page)

The BBQ:-

  • the Association holds an annual BBQ for members and their guests
  • the BBQ is held on the allotment site
  • in 2011 a covered area was erected able to sit 100 guests
  • any profits from the BBQ are donated to charity

The AGM

  • held following the spring Work-In (plotholders maintaining the site)
  • the AGM is kept as informal as possible
  • members are encouraged to submit questions and ideas to improve the facilities on the allotment site
  • followed by a buffet and free glass of wine
  • from 2012 held in the covered area

The Work-Ins

  • held in spring and autumn
  • plotholders help maintain the site
  • those who attend receive a reduction in rent in the following year
  • helps keep the cost of renting a plot down
